In the early nineties, Sister Umm Zayd (Founder and Chairperson of the Trust) started her Islamic education at Madrassatul Hafsa. Twenty years ago she came to India to serve in the path of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. In the cosmopolitan city of Bangalore, she would go house to house preaching the teachings of Allah, the Almighty and Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). With the will and mercy of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, her efforts transformed into an Islamic Institute named as Darul Ayman Educational and Charitable Trust that offers Islamic education to women and children, purely in the light of Quran and Sunnah.
Its primary basis of approach is preaching the oneness of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. It prepares young girls and women intellectually and emotionally to excel in their daily lives and in their interactions within the secular society, while strengthening the purpose of their existence i.e. to strive for a good hereafter.
Alhamdulillah, it's been more than twenty years and Darul Ayman caters to the students of all ages and from all walks of life to acquire religious education at a minimal fee.
Free of cost education is provided to the students from the weaker section of the society. The students come from diverse professional and social backgrounds.
A team of teachers, assistants and volunteers ensure perfect and timely conduct of classes and distribution of study material and advertisement fliers.
Most of the present teachers are the former students who have been thoroughly trained in Darul Ayman. There are also a few teachers who possess formal Islamic Qualifications from well-disciplined Islamic Schools.
Our aim and activities:
- To instill the teachings of the Noble Quran and the authentic Sunnah in every heart and mind thereby helping in the social and spiritual growth of every individual.
- To train qualified teachers to propagate Islam.
- To collect Zakah and charity from the rich in the society and see to its equal distribution among the needy and poor.
